I say this with all the love in my heart. You have to find and create what works for YOU. Family, long drives, writing, exercise (even if some days it's just the elliptical)

Sharing with others...
The number one tip I feel to healing is sharing your experience and feelings with others. Sharing helps us feel validation, relation, and emotional expression. All which are, vital to the healing process. You have to have someone you can talk to without fear of judgement. They have to be able to support you, listen, and be present. Feeling the presence of someone who's passed is unexplainable yet almost enchanting...
For me, personally a sense of calming surrounds my girls and I especially when we visit their Father's parents. Nothing else exists, being in their home. With family, is all we need. And for a few days, rehabilitation from the hustle. A break from the grind. Sharing stories, spending time together, our children's smiles and laughter. IF I COULD JUST...
I could just go back to this moment I would have hugged you one more time. I would've begged you to stay sober and take care of yourself. I would have told you that everything would be o.k. and it's alright if you need help, we, your family are here to support you. If God would just let me see your face one more time I would accept your death and move on. Of we could just have one more conversation, one more embrace. I have walked this path with the 3 most important ladies.
They have been my biggest fans and supporters. When families are grieving it is a delicate dance that takes skill, respect and understanding. Listening is almost all you can do for one another. Everyone is in a different space. Some get stuck in denial, like it's not reality, or it hasn't "sunk in". I person dwelled on the last day we saw the Carter Girls Father.
